Proof is on the way! + Son of Monsterpalooza & more...

Hi there, Horror Hounds -
I was holding off on updating until we had the printer's proof in hand... but unfortunately the printer shipped it to the print broker instead of us. Sam at PrintLore has forwarded it our way, and it should arrive in the next day or two.
Sadly, I'll have to wait until next week to check it out, because this weekend, Devilish David Schrader and I will be appearing in sunny Burbank, CA for SON OF MONSTERPALOOZA.
If you're in the area, come fight the crowds who came to see Ozzy Osbourne & Bruce Campbell and say hi!
And if you need some horror entertainment to tide you over until the book arrives, may I humbly suggest you check out the latest episode of the Part-Time Fanboy Podcast?
Someone (namely Kristian Hans Horn) *finally* invited me on a podcast to talk about why I think PSYCHO III is a worthy sequel to Hitchcock's masterpiece. Joe Slepski and Yvis Cannavale join us for a fun chat that was like the lifespan of a guest at the Bates Motel--way too short.
Don't make Mother angry! Click the image below to listen...
Back real soon with pics of the proof...and hopefully some news on when the book will ship.
Burbank bound,
Clay

Hey there, horror hounds!
We hope you've enjoyed your digital copies as much as we liked making the book.
And if you haven't downloaded your copy yet...what are you waiting for?
Head on over to Backerkit and fill out your survey if you haven't already. Once your order is locked and any additional add-ons are paid for, you'll receive an email with download instructions.

Printing Update
Meanwhile, in the last month, we've been engaging with printers and evaluating quotes. I'm happy to report that the printer has been selected and all files have been delivered!
We did a test print on some pages at home, and I gotta say--the 3-D effect looked even better in print than it did on the screen. I noticed details that conversion-master Shawn Gabborin put in that I hadn't noticed before. Very excited to get this into your hands!
But before we can do that, we are going to do a test print with the printer, just to make sure there are no kinks to iron out before we do the full run. I'll send pics when I have them!
(Speaking of the full run, it's looking likely this will print some time in October, but I will keep you posted on that score.)
As always, thanks again for your support--the book literally wouldn't exist without you!

Digital Deluxe now available + Corrected 2D digital
over 1 year ago
– Wed, Jul 31, 2024 at 07:59:50 PM
Hi all -
Sorry for two updates in one day, but we have a couple of important things to let you know:
1. Corrected 2D Digital
Remember how I said I was bleary-eyed from Comic-Con?
Somehow a process file slipped into our 2D digital version. Apologies to everyone, and especially to Phil Butehorn and Don Cardenas, whose story was affected.
I've updated the file in Backerkit, so you can download the corrected copy there.
I will also message you all with a dropbox link in the morning in case you miss this message or the email from Backerkit.
Speaking of the digital version, we promised you a 150 page book in the campaign, but we delivered one that was just shy of 200 pages. 196, to be exact.
We can't wait to hear what you think about it.
2. Digital Deluxe
Thanks to everyone who let us know they hadn't received an email with the digital deluxe.
The issue took the better part of the day to resolve, but I'm happy to report that if you ordered either the deluxe version or the upgrade, you should have received your download email by now.
(And if you haven't, please let us know!)
This one came out to a whopping 218 pages, and includes a bonus story by Richard Fairgray as well as well as one by me, Mick Beyers, and Julio Rojas. Plus the full cover gallery, of course.
Apologies for the delay, and thanks to everyone for their patience as we worked to resolve this issue.
As always, thanks again for the support. Hopefully you won't hear from me again today!

Digital Rewards Have Been Delivered!
– Wed, Jul 31, 2024 at 08:35:55 AM
Hey there gals and ghouls -
Anybody else get back from SDCC three days ago and still completely exhausted?
Somehow, through bleary eyes, I locked orders and charged cards for any add-ons purchased through Backerkit yesterday, which means you should have a received a notification that digital rewards are ready for download.
The email looks something like this:
"Hooray! New digital content is available for NIGHTMARE THEATER 3D: THE FINAL CHAPTER
Click Here to log in and claim it!"
If you didn't receive this email, please let me know ASAP and I'll figure out how things went horribly wrong.
It might be hiding in your spam folder, or maybe you...

Already downloaded your rewards?
Happy reading!
Please let us know what you think of the book when you've had a chance to check it out.
As we mentioned last time out, you should have received both a 2D version and a 3D version, which you can enjoy by slapping on any old pair of red/blue 3D glasses.
Printing Update
We're engaging with printers now, and quotes have already started coming in. Once we've locked down a supplier, we'll be able to give you a better estimate on timeframe for receiving physical books.
And finally...
If you're a fan of horror anthologies--and I know you are (duh!)--Mick Beyers, Gab Contreras and I have a ten-page story in the upcoming CTHULHU INVADES FAIRY TALES.
Check out that sweet variant cover above by NIGHTMARE THEATER 3-D's own Pete Collins and sign up to find out when it goes LIVE:
That's all the news for now. Back soon when I know more about printed books...

3-D Conversion is complete! + Surveys & Digital Rewards on the way...
– Fri, Jul 19, 2024 at 08:24:25 AM
Hey there, Gals and Ghouls -
We're happy to report that the 3-D conversion is complete!
Superstar Shawn Gabborin did a fantastic job with it, and we can't wait for all of you to slap on your 3-D glasses and check out his stellar work.
Meanwhile, Backerkit has approved our surveys, which means we are getting ready to send out the Smoke Test.
What the hell is a "Smoke Test?"
Backerkit does the "Smoke Test" to make sure we haven't screwed something up.
It means about 5% of you will receive your surveys today, and if all goes well for the first 48 hours with no major issues, we'll send out surveys to everyone else.
So: look for surveys between now and, say, Monday 7/22.
(Unless we've done something horribly, horribly wrong.)
Expanded Add-On Menu
If you purchased add-ons during the campaign, they will be automatically reflected on your Backerkit survey.
If you didn't purchase add-ons--or did, but want to buy more!--you'll have the option to do so.
We've also expanded the add-on menu to include my non-Bloodline work, so if you've always wanted to try, say, DREAMQUEST or DEADSKINS! or RED XMAS or BLAZING BLADE OF FRANKENSTEIN, now's a great time!
Digital Rewards
So, when will digital rewards be delivered?
We're going to lock orders and charge cards after SDCC (July 29), which gives you about a week to fill out your survey.
At that point, you should get an email from Backerkit letting you know that digital rewards are ready for download.
OK, that should cover everything for now. Off to send the Smoke Test...
Happy surveying,
Clay
